    Taigh Sanna is on the the Island of Vatersay. Vatersay is linked by causeway to the Isle of Barra

    The house stands in a small hill with white sand beaches on either side. It looks across the bay to Ciosmul Castle.

    The house has rounded ends, mirroring the design of the traditional black house.

    The self catering accommodation forms half of the building.


    The house is 4 miles from the ferry terminal, shops, hotels and amenities of Castlebay.

    It is 12 miles from Traigh Mhor, our beach airport.



    Taigh Sanna is in Carragraigh, in Uidh on the Island of Vatersay. A short causeway connects Vatersay to the Isle of Barra. 

    The house is 2 miles from Vatersay village, 4 miles from the shops, hotels and amenities of Castlebay and 14 miles from our world famous beach airport.

    How to get here...

    Barra Beach Airport
    Fly or drive to Glasgow, there are then two choices:
    Fly with Flybe to Barra. The flight lasts approximately one hour and the plane lands on the only tidal airport in the world, on Traigh Mhor (Big Beach) Book in advance for exceptionally good prices.


    Drive or take the train or bus to Oban and take the car ferry to Barra.
